SUMMARY:The Hidden Cameras / Café V lese
DESCRIPTION:Web akce\n\n\n\nNákup vstupenek\n\n\n\n\nBaroque pop\, indie rock\, plenty of provocation\, and explicit lyrics. The Hidden Cameras\, led by Joel Gibb\, burst onto the music scene in 2001—and have since maintained their status as one of the most distinctive queer music projects of today. They describe their sound as “gay church folk music” and perform in churches\, galleries\, and cinemas. But their concerts are about more than catchy melodies and honest lyrics. In the past\, their live shows have featured masked dancers\, a choir\, and a string quartet. Now frontman Joel Gibb is heading to Prague’s Café V lese\, where on November 3\, 2025\, he will present the band’s latest album\, BRONTO. \n\n\n\n\n\nMísto konání a organizátor

SUMMARY:Nomi
DESCRIPTION:Web akce\n\n\n\nNákup vstupenek\n\n\n\n\n“The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear\, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown.” – H. P. Lovecraft \n\n\n\nNomi is a monodrama about the expressive actor and singer Klaus Nomi. \n\n\n\nKlaus is normal. He is a kind\, sensitive boy who likes to bake and water flowers. Often\, because he is meticulous. But not too often\, so as not to be weird. He would like to find a few friends with whom he could share his enthusiasm for sweets. \n\n\n\nKlaus Nomi was born in Germany in the Bavarian countryside and was attracted to theater and art from an early age. With his distinctive German accent\, he sang about nuclear mutants. His performances included elements of New Wave\, Kabuki\, and Bauhaus. Nomi’s artistic career was relatively short\, yet he left a significant mark on the pop-rock scene thanks to his imaginative stage creations and wide vocal range. The cabaret style he created is still imitated today. His stylization into an extraterrestrial “element” is widely known. \n\n\n\nNomi is unknown. Nomi does not fit in. Nomi loves the drama of silent films and the eyes of Maria Callas. Nomi asks questions but does not answer them. Nomi is a concept that requires no explanation. \n\n\n\nA monodrama about inner conflict\, about the incompatibility of two equally important desires – for understanding and for self-determined artistic expression. About what it’s like to be either too much or too little\, but never just right. About exclusion\, perhaps partly through one’s own fault\, but still just as devastating. About what it’s like to be weird among weirdos. \n\n\n\nDirector Bára Viceníková brought to Studio Hrdinů a theme that this Prague theater has been exploring since its inception – the search for balance between civilian and artistic life. Tereza Hof was nominated for the 2024 Thalia Award in the Alternative Theater category for her performance. \n\n\n\n*A strobe light is used in the performance. \n\n\n\nauthor a director: Bára Viceníkováscene: Ester Hradilovácostumes: Ester Hradilovámusic: Natálie Plevákoválighting design: Štěpán Kubamovement collaboration: Monina Nevrláprojection: Bohdan Chrastilphoto by: Michal Urešcast: Tereza Hof \n\n\n\n\n\nMísto konání a organizátor
