An exhibition of a zine and photographs. The photographic series I Am Learning a Language I Will Never Speak, subtitled On the Performativity of Gender, explores identity as a process of continuous learning, rehearsal, and failure. Drawing on Judith Butler’s Gender Trouble, it approaches gender not as a stable essence but as something repeatedly performed and constituted through acts. A sequence of gestures, stylizations, and expectations that can never be fully embodied.
