Our grand entrance on the scene
At Prague Pride, we’ve been throwing festivals, BOBR queer&femme parties, Fun&Run sports events, and hundreds of other happenings – big, small, sparkly and wild. Along the way, we’ve collected a rainbow of experience in creating events for queer folks and their lovely allies.
We know exactly what it takes to conjure an unforgettable experience – from production sorcery and financial acrobatics to the most important part: bringing people together to laugh, dance, feel safe, and feel seen.
Queer joy? Oh, she shines on her own.
But when we come together, honey – that’s when the real magic happens! Gathering, connecting, sharing our stories, making new friendships – that’s not just sweet. It’s essential. Because when a storm rolls in, it’s our chosen family and support networks that hold up that rainbow umbrella above us. And maybe, just maybe, slip a glass of champagne into our hand while they’re at it.
We’re lucky in Czechia – queer culture is alive and fabulous! But finding the right events? Sometimes it feels like searching for sequins in the dark. So we dreamed, we tweaked, we vision-boarded – and voilà: Qalendar was born. Your rainbow-powered navigation to all things queer: from legendary parties to sweaty sports, and cozy community meetups.
Whether you feel right at home in a queer bar, craving connection but don’t know where to start, or you’re just visiting and the local scene’s a mystery – we’ll guide you to the places where your queer soul can melt with joy. Because everyone deserves a space to be fully, fabulously themselves.
